Here’s reason #817 to use coupons: restaurants are gross.
A friend of mine passed along a great resource courtesy of the Democrat & Chronicle detailing the cleanliness of Rochester’s eating establishments. It is an interactive map of Monroe county’s restaurants, catering services, and cafeterias and any health code violations that they have been charged with. Food for thought before you go out to eat next time or have your kid grab a bite at school.
The Democrat and Chronicle’s restaurant inspection database is from information supplied by the Monroe County Department of Health:
Violation descriptions listed for each facility correspond to the general item statements on the New York State Department of Health Inspection Form DOH-192. Establishments may be in violation of all or only portions of the stated reference for each violation.
The Democrat and Chronicle will update this database twice monthly as information on new inspections becomes available.
